We recently awarded $27,700 in summer program scholarships to 31 incoming HSPVA juniors and seniors. These students were selected based on their exceptional talent, effort, and commitment to their crafts. They will participate in some of the country’s leading summer arts programs.
The following students each received John E. Guida Foundation Music Scholarships ($5,000), made by possible by the John E. Guida Foundation:
- Priya Fink will study the flute at the Interlochen Arts Camp in Michigan.
- Sarah Navy will study vocal music performance at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.

The following students each received a summer scholarship of $1,000 to pursue studies in their art area:
- Addison Antonoff was awarded The Dawley Summer Arts Workshop Scholarship for Creative Writing. She will spend the summer at The School of the New York Times Breaking News Writing Program.
- David Hernandez was awarded The Dawley Summer Arts Workshop Scholarship for Visual Arts. He will spend the summer at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
- Callie Holley was awarded the Dr. R. Scott Allen Summer Theatre Scholarship. She will spend the summer at the International Thespian Festival at the University of Nebraska.
- Brooke Wyatt was awarded The Dawley Summer Arts Workshop Scholarship for Instrumental Music, as well as The Jason Moran Summer Jazz Scholarship, made possible by HSPVA Distinguished Alumnus Jason Moran (’93). She will spend the summer at the Stanford Jazz Institute and the Geri Allen jazz residency.
- Joshua Wyatt was awarded The Harris Wittels Summer Program Scholarship, made possible by The Harris Wittels Fund at HSPVA Friends, created in memory of actor, producer, comedian, and musician Harris Wittels (Theatre ’02), as well as The Dawley Summer Arts Workshop Scholarship for Theatre. He will spend the summer at The School of the New York Times Writing for Television Program and the International Thespian Festival at the University of Nebraska.
