The Kinder HSPVA Theatre curriculum prepares students to be well-rounded theatre artists. They study acting techniques from Stanislavski to Uta Hagen and styles from Commedia to Brecht. They learn stagecraft and design and sharpen their singing, dancing, and playwriting skills. Then, they use these skills to build their productions, from soup to nuts. HSPVA offers Theatre students a truly comprehensive program.
The Theatre Department continues to evolve its curriculum and bring in an impressive roster of guest directors, instructors, and master class artists because of your gifts to HSPVA Friends. You fund the adjunct faculty, accompanists, and production support—scenery, costumes, lights, sound, projections, and show rights and scripts—that keep Kinder HSPVA performers, designers, and technicians at the top of their field.
