We couldn’t be more excited about the new campus, every opportunity it will provide for future students, and the deepening of our longstanding relationship with the Kinder Foundation. We are aware of a group of concerned constituents who have established a petition against the level of recognition granted to the Kinder Foundation by the HISD policy and subsequent vote of the Board of Trustees. While the Foundation has generously released HSPVA Friends and HISD of the naming obligation, we are honored to be associated with the Kinder name, feel strongly that this level of recognition appropriately signifies our long-term partnership, and look forward to opening the Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in 2018.
