Unheard Voices

February 6 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Patricia Bonner Recital Hall | Free Admission | Ticket required

“Unheard Voices” is a student-led, cross-department collaboration at HSPVA celebrating underrepresented voices in music in honor of Black History Month. Featuring works by Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin, the concert was organized in part by Cadence and Color, a student club uplifting Black and women composers.

The Evergreen Quartet will present the world premiere of And Still We Cross by Emmy-winning composer Daniel Bernard Roumain with poetry by Kenneth Morris Jr., who will both attend and speak. The work was made possible through HSPVA’s partnership with Apollo Chamber Players and the support of HSPVA Friends.”
