Alan Gonzales (Theatre ’12) has used publicity from his appearance on Project Runway to help launch a mask business! Alan also collaborated with HSPVA Friends to produce a limited-edition “Encore” mask for the Encore at the Drive-In fundraiser on March 30th, 2021.

Former Faculty Dr. Robert “Doc” Morgan was inducted into the 2021Texas Jazz Educators Association Hall of Fame, joining Kinder HSPVA Jazz program founder Edward Trongone, who was inducted last year.
Leron Thomas (Instrumental ’98) was noted as the “mastermind behind Iggy Pop’s ‘Free’ album.” Thomas wrote, produced and toured the project with Iggy Pop, in addition to producing his own work under the name “Pan Amsterdam.”
