Volunteer Opportunities with HSPVA Friends

Families with students currently attending Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts are vital to the success of many of HSPVA Friends’ fundraising events. Below, please find upcoming opportunities to get involved, organized by Art Area. You can always learn more by contacting Joan Murrin or the Guild President of your child’s Art Area. You can also visit the Guild Landing pages to learn more.

If you’d like to get involved in an event outside your students’ Art Area, feel free to look around at what’s happening! Also, please keep in mind these are events produced by HSPVA Friends, and there are lots of other volunteer opportunities to explore at school as well. You can always contact the PTO or your Art Area Chair to learn more.

MusicFest is the annual fundraiser for the Music Department, and benefits all Vocal and Instrumental Music Ensembles. A new evolution in the long-standing tradition of Spaghetti Supper, MusicFest both celebrates and fully utilizes the performance spaces available at the Kinder HSPVA Downtown Campus by offering performances by every Music student in a single night, all under one roof!

Parent Volunteers at MusicFest can sign up for specific committees and teams, including but not limited to Registration, Decor, Concessions, Clean-Up, and more. Click the button below to go to our “Sign-Up Genius” form and indicate when you can volunteer and what committees you’d like to work on. Please send your questions to Volunteer Manager Joan Murrin or MusicFest Chair Test McTesterson.

The major fundraising event for the Kinder HSPVA Creative Writing Department is the XOXO Studio. Please check back here in the fall for more information, and an opportunity to sign-up for volunteer shifts during the Studio sessions.

Please contact Kinder HSPVA Dance Chair Janie Carothers for more information.
