Thank you for making MusicFest 2023 the best one yet!

On Sunday, October 1, 2023, more than 400 student musicians performed across 6 simultaneous venues in 30+ events. Together, we raised more than $63,000 for Kinder HSPVA’s Instrumental and Vocal Music Departments – a new record. Huge THANKS to all the wonderful, hard-working 106 volunteers and 1,564 ticket holders who helped make this event a HUGE success!

Thank you to everyone who supported MusicFest 2023. You make music happen at Kinder HSPVA!

Your gifts provide the Instrumental and Vocal Music Department budgets. In addition to basic classroom supplies and sheet music, the faculty relies on HSPVA Friends for curriculum essentials like: adjunct faculty for every ensemble; instrument repair and maintenance; music software; partnerships with professional arts organizations like AFA, Houston Grand Opera, and DACAMERA; and elective courses like Ethnomusicology, Latin Jazz, Careers in Music, Music Citizenship, Music Education, and Music Recording and Production!

About MusicFest

MusicFest is HSPVA’s longest running tradition! Originally called Spaghetti Supper, this event began 52 years ago as a potluck celebration and fundraiser featuring every HSPVA music ensemble. Across the decades, the Supper grew and evolved to accommodate the growing HSPVA community. The name MusicFest was adopted from another HSPVA benefit concert tradition that also began in the 1970s. Combined into one unique legacy, all HSPVA music alumni share the common experience of performing in this event!
